Anonymous threatens Montreal police for closing homeless village

Watch above: Anonymous speaks out after the city of Montreal dismantled a homeless shelter in Viger Square.

MONTREAL – The activist hacker group Anonymous has made a direct threat against the Montreal police.

The group told Global News they are furious with the city for dismantling a homeless village in Viger square.

They claim many of the city’s homeless are back on the streets after the makeshift camp was bulldozed.

The city of Montreal argues it is trying to save lives by getting the homeless to leave the camp and seek shelter indoors.

But Anonymous sees it as a direct attack against some of the city’s most vulnerable and they are promising to retaliate.
